Coach Spotlight - Declan Hewett

Hi, I'm Coach Declan Hewett! I played soccer as a kid from kindergarten all the way through high school. Building upon this foundation, I have two years of coaching experience, emphasizing a commitment to skill refinement and team dynamics. My coaching philosophy centers on fostering a genuine passion for soccer while honing individual and collective capabilities. I approach each session focusing on structured development, aiming to instill a profound appreciation for the game in every player.

Coaching Spotlight! Chris Morales

¡Hola! My name is Chris, and this is my first year as a PFC coach!

I am excited to join the team and start my coaching career.

I was born on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico in 1999. My mother and I moved to Texas in 2005. Since then, all my experience with sports has been basketball and soccer. Soccer brings me the most joy and is what made me start my coaching career.

I currently hold the Grassroots 4V4, 7v7, and 9v9 licenses. My future goals include pursuing a Sports Administration degree from Louisiana State University and obtaining all the licenses needed to continue coaching.

I’m excited to share my knowledge and passion for the game and to become a role model to the players as my coaches were to me.

Coaching Spotlight! Ayo Lapite

I began coaching with PAYSL in January 2022 shortly after we enrolled my son in the Pflugerville FC Academy, working with the 2015 boys team, and now I am co-head coach of the 2016 boys Red and White teams. I first coached in 2015 with the Columbus Express Soccer Club when I lived in Indiana, and coached U-8 teams for about a year and a half. I obtained my US Soccer E & F licenses during that period. Since resuming coaching this year, I have gone back to complete my Grassroots license. I am very passionate about soccer/football and I aim to pass that passion to the kids while ensuring they improve both individually and as a team.
